Want to overcome shallow public prayers, and learn how to really pray effectively for others? Let's examine the Model Prayer (The Lord's Prayer), and survey every prayer in the New Testament. We  can also learn much from the memorized blessings (Hamida) used in the synagogue that Jesus grew up reciting at the hour of prayer every day. These are "the prayers" to which the early church devoted itself. May the Lord use it to shape our prayers with zeal.
